Elena Newman

Elena Newman is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 15 years of leadership experience across government-sponsored programs, including Medicaid and Medicare Advantage. She currently serves as President of Florida Medicare at Elevance Health, where she oversees one of the largest and most complex markets in the enterprise. Under her leadership, the Florida market has achieved double digit sustained growth, operational alignment across multiple health plans, and industry-leading performance ratings.

Throughout her tenure at Elevance, Elena has been a driving force behind enterprise transformation. She was selected among a small group of senior executives to lead digital and operational innovation initiatives, including enterprise-wide strategies to modernize member communications and digital engagement. Her work has enhanced consumer experience, improved cross-functional collaboration, and supported scalable modernization across commercial and government lines of business.

Elena brings deep expertise in strategic repositioning, turnaround execution, and value-based care transformation. She has led successful divestiture and acquisition efforts, including the sale of a large clinical asset within Elevance and the previous sale of a privately held healthcare services company following significant revenue and operational expansion. Her cross-sector experience spans payer, provider, and ancillary services, giving her a unique, end-to-end perspective on healthcare delivery and finance.

Known for her collaborative leadership style and analytical rigor, Elena is passionate about unlocking growth through data-driven decision-making, cultural empowerment, and equitable healthcare transformation. She actively mentors emerging leaders and contributes to thought leadership in areas such as business ethics, governance, and strategic innovation.

Elena holds a Master’s degree in Global Economics and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). She is a board-level advisor and currently serves on an ethics and thought leadership committee for a global accounting institute. She resides in Miami Beach with her family and enjoys traveling, volunteering, and mentoring diverse talent.

Dr. Jordan Asher is a seasoned physician-executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in large, matrixed healthcare systems. He currently advises a range of healthcare companies focused on technology-enabled care delivery & innovation and serves as a Director at Brookdale Senior Living (NYSE: BKD).
Most recently, Dr. Asher was EVP and Chief Clinical Officer at Sentara Health, a leading Integrated Delivery Network. At Sentara, he led efforts to develop high-quality, equitable, and consumer-centered models of care. His portfolio included oversight of Clinical Quality and Safety, Clinical Effectiveness, Innovation, Research, the Clinically Integrated Network (Sentara Quality Care Network and ACO), Nursing, Academic partnerships, Residency Training, and the system’s High-Performance Design initiative.
Before Sentara, Dr. Asher held multiple leadership roles at Ascension Health and also served as Assistant Dean at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center’s Nashville campus.
Dr. Asher is a national thought leader on population health, value-based care, clinical integration, and payment model transformation. His work emphasizes cultural sensitivity, care equity, and delivering outcomes across the continuum—from individual care to community health.

Julie A. Stone spent several years as a member of Willis Towers Watson Health & Benefits North America Senior Leadership team. She was responsible for Intellectual Capital and Specialty Practices including health management, wellbeing, pharmacy, absence & disability management, dental, vision and more. She designed and lead Learning & Development for the Health & Benefits practice following the integration of Towers Perrin and Watson Wyatt. She also was responsible for the business partnership with WTWs Research & Innovation Center bringing thought leadership to both employer and employee-centric survey design. She led broad strategic initiatives across WTW’s H&B business and for large and complex employers.

Prior to joining Towers Perrin, Julie held a variety of roles in Prudential’s Health Care business including leading the integration team focused on networks, sales, and account management for the Northeast during the
sale of the business to Aetna. Prior to that, she oversaw the execution of
the sale of the New England Prudential health plan to Tufts Health Plan
in Massachusetts. Earlier in her career, she led the national accounts underwriting team, served as an Account Executive for key national accounts, managed the health care data analytics team, the treasury operations, and spent six years leading the user design team in IT for Prudential’s managed health care business.

Julie worked with clients directly to develop health and welfare benefits strategies aligned with organizational/business goals as well as to design, implement and measure their health and welfare programs’ effectiveness through a variety of quantitative and qualitative approaches. Julie’s background and expertise covers the full range of health and welfare programs. She has worked with clients in a variety of industries, including financial services, utilities, and pharmaceuticals.

Julie has spoken at conferences sponsored by The Conference Board and the Business Group on Health, SHRM, and other women’s health events. She has frequently been interviewed about health care by various media including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Kaiser Health News, Fox Business, Money magazine, and National Public Radio.

Tom consults to health systems, independent providers, payors, private equity firms and others on value-based care, pharmacy cost management, and patient engagement. Mr. Davis recently finished an assignment as Senior Vice President at Somatus, a managed kidney care company. He has also served as Market President for JenCare/ChenMed in Atlanta, a capitated medical practice serving low-income Medicare Advantage patients.

For 16 years Tom served as Senior Vice President at Coventry Health Care running health plans, pharmacy programs, product development, digital engagement, and product development. In 2013 the company was sold to Aetna.

Mr. Davis has also held leadership positions with United Healthcare, MetraHealth, and Prudential Health Care System. Earlier in his career he worked in management consulting and private equity investing at APM and E.M. Warburg Pincus. Mr. Davis holds an MBA from the Wharton School and a BA in Religion from Wesleyan University. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia.

Josh is a health care product, operations and strategy leader with a 20-year track record of successfully creating, bringing to market, and selling employer-, payer- and provider-facing products at industry-leading healthcare companies. Josh’s areas of expertise include Medicare, telehealth, post-acute care, employer group benefits, complex disease management, product development and management, and finance.

Josh holds a BS in Nutritional Science from Cornell University and an MBA in Finance and Investments from the Zicklin School of Business (Baruch College, City University of New York)
